Mondo has introduced the XNOVA filament, an artificial grass fibre that 'perfectly balances softness and resilience,' the company claims.
According to Mondo the balance between softness and rigidity is achieved thanks to its exclusive morphology in the form of a parallelogram as well as the studied balance between its width and thickness. The company also used a new polymer to produce the yarn.
Combined with the 4NX fibres, a carpet consisting of XNOVA and 4NX filaments should offer 'the best sports performance, maximum resilience and great resistance to wear'. Mondo claims that a carpet made of these yarns will also have an excellent aesthetic appearance.
The new XNOVA has a parallelogram shape with concave sides that form four grooves and four asymmetric ribs. This morphology achieves a high level of fiber resilience, also ensuring that it remains with the passage of time. Its thickness area is 270
